Warco and Aston Martin F1

Warco was delighted to be approached by the Head of Composite Manufacturing for the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team, who was looking for a variable speed milling machine. We supplied the team with our reliable VMC Vario mill, which was customised to a silver paint finish as per their specifications.

The Aston Martin F1 Team has had its best season to-date, with 280 points scored and a jump from seventh to fifth in the Constructors' Championship. Not only have they enjoyed eight podium finishes, but they have also welcomed double World Champion Fernando Alonso to the team. They also announced the opening of the AMR Technology Campus and a works partnership with Honda.

But as always, the car itself is so important, and we like to think that Warco has had a small part to play in this. We’ll be rooting for Aston Martin F1 in the 2024 season ahead:

"Whatever happens, it always results in the same loop: if the cars roll out and we haven't done enough, then we have to work hard to improve. If we have done enough, then we have to work hard to improve further. That's the only recipe that works in Formula One". Team Principal, Mike Krack

Warco introduced the original VMC more than forty years ago as a belt-change machine. This upgraded version has infinite speed control - a traditional design, now future-proofed with up-to-date electronics.

The VMC has long had robust, heavy-duty construction, giving dependable and highly precise long term performance. The VMC Vario benefits from the maximum flexibility offered by the inverter drive, as well as an even more powerful 2 horse power motor.

To achieve maximum torque in the low-speed range, there is one belt change of the US-made Gates tooth belt, which transmits vibration-free drive.
