• Designed for parting off from the rear - which dramatically reduces the large spindle loading compared to a front mounted parting of system.

• Parting off from the rear also avoids blade or tip damage experienced when parting off from the front.

• The corresponding base plate has a machined slot which engages with a tenon on the underside of the tool post to avoid rotation.

• Tool capacity - 24.5mm

Tool post works by mounting to this base plate available separately

• Cross Slide Base Plate (Item No. 9577)

Base plate mounts directly onto lathe cross slide, allowing you to fit this rigid rear tool post.
