The Major GH Milling Machine's quiet operation is assured by its totally enclosed oil immersed gear box. Speed selection is by lever control, there's a calibrated scale for tilting.

 

A 13mm drill chuck is included as standard, as is an interlock chuck guard as well as table and cross slide locks. The drilling feed is rack and pinion, and precision is a given with the calibrated fine feed. A large diameter spindle is supported on taper roller bearings, there are tapered gibs to X and Y axes, and split nuts to leadscrews to compensate for wear. A power feed is a popular option with this machine.
