Warco Mini Lathe - Quality Small Hobby Lathe

We're happy to be re-introducing the most compact lathe in the Warco range due to popular demand - the original Mini Lathe.  This lathe is an ideal alternative to the slightly larger Super Mini Lathe.

This machine continues our long standing commitment to entry level lathes, designed for the smaller workshop in mind whilst still maintaining maximum capacity - and no compromise on quality.

The Mini Lathe has long been a popular part of the Warco range, always representing excellent value for money and a superb introduction to metal turning.

Buy with confidence from Warco - we've been selling small lathes just like this for decades now - in fact we were the first supplier to offer Mini Lathes to the UK market, and demand innovations like more reliable USA made electronics and hardened / ground bedways. Even the name "Mini Lathe" started right here at Warco.

We specify even better, highly accurate chucks than are supplied as standard. And we always include a large range of standard equipment. A range of accessories is included with this machine for no extra charge.

Key features:

  • USA made printed circuit board for  long term reliable performance
  • Induction hardened and ground bedways
  • 400W motor
  • Distance between centres - 300mm
  • Larger diameter spindle supported on bearings
  • Low and high speed ranges for maximum flexibility
  • Supplied fully tested, with accuracy test report - ready for immediate use

Each Warco Mini Lathe is supplied with a range of standard accessories, including:

  • 80mm 3 jaw self centering chuck with inside and outside jaws
  • Faceplate
  • 4 way tool post
  • Threading facility
  • Swarf tray and rear splash back
  • Thread dial indicator
  • Toolbox and tools
  • Complete with instruction manual and full spare parts list.

All of the above comes with no extra charge.

As with all of our lathes for sale, the Warco Mini Lathe is supplied with a full guarantee for peace of mind.  Rest assured we also have a hugely comprehensive range of spare parts available should you need them at any point, as well of course a wide selection of Mini Lathe tools.

The Warco Mini Lathe is supplied in metric or imperial.  A metric lathe will cut metric threads and an imperial lathe will cut imperial threads.  To cut metric threads on an imperial machine or imperial threads on a metric machine, it is necessary to add the appropriate conversion kit.

Every single machine is fully tested and checked by us before leaving our premises, and will come with a full test report.  Bare metal surfaces are protected by a thin layer of grease which is easily removed with a cloth.  No further preparation is required - once it arrives via our no extra charge delivery service, simply plug in and enjoy your new lathe.

Mini Lathe FAQs:

How is the Warco Mini Lathe different from the Warco Super Mini Lathe?

The key differences are that this machine is slightly smaller - 300mm between centres vs. 350mm for the Super Mini. The Super Mini Lathe has the addition of a digital rev counter

What advantages does this machine have?

It's even more compact, making it ideal for the smaller workshop.  There's also a significant price saving.

Is the quality any different on the cheaper machine?

Absolutely not.  Both lathes are backed by the Warco stamp of quality, are fully tested and both are as robust with key features such as induction hardened and ground bedways.  We've been selling metal cutting Mini Lathes just like these for decades now, giving us the backing of a unique level of experience in fine tuning our Mini Lathe specifications for optimum reliability and performance.
